Rs.3000 category will get a room in a guest house with a shared dining and waiting rooms as shown in the above pictures. There would be around 6 rooms in a guest house. This category room comes with an additional bed.
This room is for the people who are looking to stay at a stylish, decent, almost independent accommodation. In my recent visit I have stayed in this category, the name of the guest house is Lakshmi Krupa Guest House which is near to Kowsthubam Guest house (KTBGH). The feel and look of the room is very rich. Rs 2000 category will get a room in a guest house with a shared dining and waiting rooms as shown in the above pictures. There would be around 6 rooms in a guest house. The size of the room is similar to the Rs 500/- guest house except the fact that it looks much costlier and is almost independent. As it is independent, you will isolated. The minimum walk time to CRO office from where I have stayed is 20 mins and it would cost you Rs 40 to 50 for a Jeep to pick you up/drop, if it is passing by. The room can only accommodate 3 people max comfortably. The beds are wooden comfortable double cot. Don’t be fooled by the TTD website which says 2 beds, they meant a double cot which in my case I even cannot separate the bed. A deposit of Rs 2000/- has to be made while taking the room. The room has amenities like AC, Geyser for hot water, wardrobe, western only toilet etc. as shown in the below pictures off the Tirumala (TTD) rooms.
Nice looking, decent accommodation. The name of the guest house is Hari Sadan Guest House near Padmavati guest House. There would be around 6 rooms in a guest house. It would cost you Rs 40 to 50 for a Jeep to pick you up/drop. The room can only accommodate 3 people max comfortably. There are two separate single cot beds. A deposit of Rs 1500/- has to be paid while occupying the room. The room has amenities like AC, Geyser for hot water, wardrobe, western only toilet etc. as shown in the above pictures.
In my recent visit to Tirumala Tirupati we have stayed at Rs.750 TTD cottage. This cottage is very huge it has three bed rooms, 2 Bath rooms with hot water geyser, one dining area, balcony and a huge Living room. Each bed room has two beds as shown in pictures. One western and one Indian style bathroom. Overall the stay was very comfortable as these cottages are very near to everything. It is behind the fire station. The quality of the room is sub par, I mean dining table condition is very poor, can’t close the window doors and doors has termite damage etc. But guess what, with 6-10 members if I would have to take a cottage in Tirumala this would be the best choice.
Basic room with amenities like Geyser (for hot water), beds, chairs etc. I stayed at Kowsthubam Guest house (KTBGH) which I guess is a new one (2008 built). This room can accommodate 4 people or max 5 provided two of them have to sleep on the floor. This room has both western and Indian toilets. It does not have an AC.
I would recommend this room for people on a fixed budget. This room provides the basic amenities and accommodation needed till you finish the darshan. The room can be extended only if you have a pending darshan. You have to make a deposit of Rs 500/- at the time of booking. The booking can be done at Central Reservation Office or online and the deposit can be collected at the same.
I was told that it is a normal room with reduced amenities like no hot water geyser in the room old building etc. I don’t have any pictures for this room
One can book TTD cottages/rooms online @ http://www.ttdsevaonline.com/Home.aspx. The price range for the rooms/cottages are between Rs. 100 to Rs. 2000. One can book the accommodation online with a Debit/Credit card. Not sure, if one can use the Net banking facility. I have used my debit card for my travel. My recent visit to Tirumala and reviews of the rooms/cottages with photos which I have stayed are explained in separate tabs above.
